Man charged over Sydney stabbing

A 35-year-old man has been charged over a stabbing in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

A man in his 30s was found in a Kingsford apartment with injuries to his head and back about 6.30am on Thursday.

The victim is in St Vincent's Hospital in a serious condition but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, assault, resist arrest and malicious damage.

He is due to appear in Waverley Local Court on Friday.
