The events (all distances) will take part on closed roads around the Sunshine Coast. Main Roads, Council and other regulatory bodies have approved our road closures, but please be mindful of traffic if anyone inadvertently strays on the course. We will have traffic marshals and volunteers at intersections across the course and Queensland Police at major intersections. Please remember;

  • Obey all directions from marshalls, police and volunteers
  • Do not run on any road that is not a part of the course
  • Be mindful of others
  • Stay as far left as you can in the direction you are running

Thank you in advance for your understanding and your sportsmanship.

Parking at the event precinct will be restricted to event personnel, with a limited number of parking spaces for disabled entrants.

Parking for the event will be off Alexandra Parade on Mari St, which is directly opposite the event precinct area. Remember the road closures, as both sides of Alexandra Parade are closed (from Mooloolaba through to 6th av Maroochydore). A slip lane for vehicles is provided from Pacific Tce to Sixth Avenue for traffic at a reduced speed limit.

More parking is available in and around the Alexandra Headlands area.

Please be mindful of residents and businesses throughout the area when parking, as without their support our event would not be possible. If you can, please catch public transport or have a friend or family member drop you off nice and early.

For those running in the later events, please remember the road closures, leave early to make sure you get to the start line on time.

The entire course is closed to traffic. All roads are closed from 5:30am until approximately 12:30pm on Sunday August 30. Alexandra Parade from Buderim Avenue to Sixth Ave will be closed from 4am with the slip lane accessible for traffic. Mooloolaba Esplanade and Alexandra Parade (up to Buderim St) on Alex Hill will reopen at approximately 9am.
