UPDATE | Koala Found Screwed To A Pole Near Gympie Most Likely Hit By Car
UPDATE| Tests will be carried out to determine if a koala was dead or alive before it was found attached to a wooden gazebo post south of Gympie.
There's speculation the unfortunate animal may have been hit by a car.
Koala Rescue Queensland found the koala at Brooloo Park Lookout, at Imbil, on Wednesday.
They say it had been attached to the post by screws through its paws - but unfortunately there are no cameras in the area.
EARLIER | A koala has died after being screwed to a pole south of Gympie.
The animal was found attached to a gazebo pole at Brooloo Park lookout near Imbil.
The image of the animal has been posted in the Gympie Times, it's not clear if the koala was dead at the time the photo was taken.
It is being reported that Koala Rescue Queensland staff confirmed the body had been removed and an investigation was underway.
